Racers Fire 4722 at Jacksonville State

Paola Paravati and Carlotta Salafia recorded career highs.
The Murray State Racers recorded scores of 2347 in small bore and 2375 in air rifle for an aggregate of 4722 on Saturday morning in Jacksonville, Ala.Â
ÂSix different Racers finished inside the top ten individually and freshman Carlotta Salafia claimed the top spot individually and in air rifle.
ÂSalafia fired a career-high 589 in small bore and a 597 air rifle. Her aggregate of 1186 ties her career-high, set on October 20. The Pezzana, Italy native also placed second in small bore. Â
ÂJunior Paola Paravati took second and recorded a new career-high aggregate of 1183 with scores of 587 in smallbore and 596 in air rifle, good for second in that category and a career-high.  Â
ÂScott Patterson came in third place in the individual rankings, firing a 588 in smallbore and a 594 in air rifle for an aggregate of 1182. Â
ÂJohn Blanton rounded out the top five with scores of 583 in smallbore and 593 in air rifle for an aggregate of 1176.
ÂGraduate Allison Henry claimed the sixth individual spot and fired a 582 in smallbore, 591 in air rifle, and 1173 aggregate. All season-highs.
 Sophomore Caroline Martin took tenth place, shooting a 577 in smallbore and a 590 in air rifle for an aggregate of 1167. Â
ÂThe Racers have a month-long break before being back in action at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range on Saturday, January 11 at 9 a.m. CT against Georgia Southern. Â
