Murray State softball falls 2-8 in their series finale at Illinois State, Sunday.
MSU drops the weekend series 1-2. They lost the first game 5-6 and coming back to win the second game 4-3.
How it went
The hosts took a two-run lead in the first inning with an RBI single down right field before scoring another RBI single in the third inning.
Lily Fischer responded with a two RBI double in the fifth inning but the Redbirds extended their lead with a three-run home run and a two RBI single in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Murray State goes back on the road as they play their third Missouri Valley Conference series at Missouri State, Friday through Sunday.
