Murray State women's basketball is set to open the 2025-26 season at USI on Friday
Murray State women's basketball gets the 2025-26 season underway on Friday at 5 p.m. when they travel to Southern Indiana in Evansville, Ind. The two sides met in Murray a season ago when USI defeated the Racers 82-75 at the CFSB Center. MSU leads the all-time series 5-2 and the Racers have won two of the last three matchups over the Screaming Eagles.
MSU women's basketball is coming off of arguably the best season in program history in 2024-25 after setting a program record 25 wins and securing both the Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament titles en route to the program's first NCAA tournament appearance since 2008.
In the Racers lone exhibition of the season, Murray State defeated Trevecca 102-61 on Monday night and were led by junior guard duo Haven Ford with 22 points and Halli Poock with 20 points. Newcomers Sharnecce Currie-Jelks and Keslyn Secrist had 17 points and 14 points, respectively.
