Racers Take on Sycamores with Regular Season Title on the Line

Murray State women's basketball battles Indiana State for a chance at the regular season MVC crown
Murray State women's basketball is set to battle Indiana State on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Hullman Center in Terre Haute, Indiana. A win would secure the Racers at least a share of the Missouri Valley Conference title.Â
Katelyn Young was named a semifinalist for the Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year award and ranks in the top 15 nationally in scoring this season with 21.7 points while also averaging 6.5 rebounds. Young also recently became only the 21st player in Division I history to surpass 2900 career points.
Four Racers all average 14 points or more per contest in Halli Poock, Haven Ford, Ava Learn, and Young. The Racers enter the contest at 21-7 on the season and are coming off of a 88-60 win over Evansville on Thursday night.
Scouting Report
Indiana State enters the game at 4-26 on the season. The Sycamores fell 90-69 versus Belmont in their last time out. Keslyn Secrist leads ISU with 13.4 points per game.
