Trey Wall Moves Up Leader Board at NCAA Regional

The Murray State freshman is the first Racer to make it to the NCAA level since 2013

Wall (78-74=152) posted a 4-over-par 74on Tuesday and moved up two spots to 68th place as he shaved four shots from his first round total.

The final round for Wall begins Wednesday morning at 9:50 a.m. with playing partners Titus Boswell (IU Indy) and Cade McLaughlin (North Carolina State).

NCAA Regional Notes
- Wall's round consisted of a birdie of the par-5 sixth hole that played 559 yards.
- Wall made nine pars on the day and has no score through 36 holes worse than bogey.
- Patrick Newcomb was the last player before Wall to play in an NCAA regional in 2013 when he played in Fayetteville.
- MVC Tournament team champion, Illinois State, has carded identical rounds of 289 for a 578 total, which put the Redbirds in eight place in the field of 13 teams.
- Host Illinois has the 36-hole lead at 558, with Oklahoma State (561), UNLV (561), Texas Tech (566) and Troy (567) making up the top-5.
- The other solo player from the MVC includes Anthony Delisanti of Valparaiso who was in 52nd place on scores of 77-72=148.
- Caden Fioroni of UNLV was the medalist leader (68-67=135) on shot in front of Jackson Buchanan of Illinois (63-73=136).
- In round one, Jackson set the Atkins GC course record with an 8-under-par 63.
- The Atkins course is playing long distance for the NCAAs at 7,533 yards and to a par of 70.
