Amundson Announces 2026 Schedule

Racers to begin 2026 campaign on Feb. 6 in Montgomery, Alabama.
Murray State softball head coach Kara Amundon announced the team's 2026 schedule on Thursday.
The Racers will open their season at the Alabama State University Stinger Classic in Montgomery, Alabama, from Feb. 6-8. They will remain on the road the following week, at The Snowman - Alex Wilcox Memorial Tournament in Starkville, Mississippi, from Feb. 13-15.
Murray State returns to Racer Field on Feb. 18, as it will host the Kentucky Wildcats for the 2026 home opener before hosting the Valvet Milkman Classic from Feb. 20-22. The Racers then make their return trip to Lexington, Kentucky, to wrap up the non-conference slate at the John Cropp Classic from Feb. 27 to March 1.
The Navy & Gold will open their 2026 Missouri Valley Conference slate with a home series against Northern Iowa on March 6-7. Conference play features 10 series with the Racers taking on Northern Iowa, Valparaiso, Evansville, Belmont, UIC, Bradley, Indiana State, SIU, Illinois State, and Drake.
Racer Field will be the site of series against Northern Iowa, Valparaiso, Bradley, Indiana State, and a doubleheader against SIU.
The MVC Championship will be hosted by SIU in Carbondale, Illinois, from May 6-9.
The Racers finished ninth in the MVC standings in 2025.
