DES MOINES, Iowa - Addison Howell scored in the 59th minute and Murray State held one of the Missouri Valley Conference's two unbeaten league teams to a 1-1 draw Thursday afternoon at Mediacom Stadium.
The Racers (3-8-3, 2-2-1 MVC) outshot Drake (8-3-3, 3-0-2 MVC) 12-8 and put a season-high nine shots on goal against a defense that had conceded seven times in 13 matches and entered with the best goals-against average in the conference. Drake had outshot its opponents 173-84 on the season before Thursday.
Senior goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio made three saves on Thursday afternoon. The Bulldogs equalized in the 67th minute, ending a Murray State shutout run that had reached 246 minutes and spanned the full Valparaiso and UIC wins.
Howell opened the scoring with a rebounded finish into the bottom right corner, her first goal of the season and the third of her career. The sophomore forward took four shots and put three on target, both personal highs for 2026, and became the ninth different Racer to score this season.
Junior forward Breece Bass tested the Drake goal four times and put all four on target. Gabby Ramdeen and Kendyll English each added a shot on goal off the bench.
The point was Murray State's first MVC point on the road and extended the Racers' unbeaten run to three matches, their longest of the season.
