MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State women's soccer took home two of the Missouri Valley Conference's weekly awards, with senior goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio named Goalkeeper of the Week and junior Abbey MacDonald named Defender of the Week following the Racers' 3-0 win over Valparaiso on Sunday at Cutchin Field.
The shutout was Murray State's first in Missouri Valley play this season and came against a Valparaiso side that entered with 18 goals in 11 matches. The Beacons were held without a goal on 18 shots.
Revolorio turned away seven shots for her third shutout of the season, including four in the second half as Valparaiso pushed for an opener. The Washington, Indiana, native has 57 saves in 2026 and has played every minute of the season, 1,080 across 12 matches. She ranks among the Missouri Valley leaders in saves, saves per game and goals-against average, and her 18 career shutouts rank third in program history.
MacDonald anchored a back line that kept one of the conference's most productive attack off the board. The junior has started all 12 matches and, like Revolorio, has played all 1,080 minutes this season. She has committed two fouls all year and has not been cautioned.
It is the second weekly honor of MacDonald's career. She was named Missouri Valley Freshman of the Week in September 2024 after a two-assist performance against Austin Peay.
Murray State improved to 2-8-2 overall and 1-2-0 in Missouri Valley play with the win, its second of the season and its second by a 3-0 score at Cutchin Field.
