Murray State men's golf finished fifth in the Austin Peay Intercollegiate

Murray State men's golf finished the Austin Peay Intercollegiate in fifth place at Greystone Golf Club in Dickson, Tennessee. Rocco Zakutney led the Racers with a ninth place finish individually after shooting a two under in the final round on Tuesday.

The Racers finished the tournament with a 298+284+290=872 as a team. Three Racers finished inside the top 25 in the field with Lennon Albans and Trey Wall joining Zakutney.

"I loved how the guys responded from our last event," said Coach Jacob Miller. "We did not have our best stuff by any means but in some cold, windy conditions, they stayed in it mentally from beginning to end for a respectable finish. It's time to tighten some things up and get ready for our only home event of the year in 2 weeks, the Racer Intercollegiate."

MSU will host the Racer Intercollegiate at the Paducah Country Club on April 6 and 7.
