MURRAY, Ky. – Murray State baseball travels to Louisville tomorrow to take on the Bellarmine Knights in another midweek road matchup.
The Racers have posted a 3-4 record in midweek games this season, with all of those contests played away from home. Overall, MSU holds a 6-9 road record during the 2026 campaign.
After dropping a home series to Belmont at the newly renovated Johnny Reagan Field, the Racers look to regain momentum before hitting the road again for a Missouri Valley Conference series at UIC.
Kristofer Hokenson provided the offensive highlight of the weekend, launching two home runs, including a two-run and a three-run shot. The performance moved him into the team lead with six homers on the season.
Tuesday's contest marks the sixth meeting between the programs. Murray State has dominated the all-time series 5-0, scoring at least 10 runs in every matchup, including a 10-0 shutout in the last meeting. This is the second time the Racers have traveled to Louisville to face the Knights.
Despite the historical dominance by the Racers, Bellarmine enters the matchup with a 5-1 record in midweek games this year.
The Knights host at Knights Field on the Bellarmine University campus, which features an all-natural grass surface. While the Racers play most of their games on artificial turf, they are 5-1 on grass fields this season.
Bellarmine enters the game with a 13-17 overall record and a 6-6 mark in ASUN play. The Knights are led by graduate student AJ Swader, who leads the team with 34 RBIs, a .345 batting average, and a 1.112 OPS.
First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Knights Field. The contest will be streamed on ESPN+, with live updates available on X and Instagram via @RacersBaseball.
