Generous contribution continues to build moment through the Vision For Excellence Fund
Murray State Athletics has received a transformational investment of $250,000 from a generous investor from Illinois, it was announced on Thursday.
Â
The gift counts towards the Vision For Excellence Fund as part of the department's Leading The Pack capital campaign that the Racers publicly announced in March. The campaign supports numerous strategic initiatives, capital progress and revenue share.
Â
"We are incredibly grateful for this transformational investment in the future of Murray State University and for the continued confidence in our mission," Murray State University President Dr. Ron Patterson said. "The dedication of our generous donors and the passion of Racer Nation continue to propel our university forward, creating life-changing opportunities for our student-athletes and boosting the future of Murray State."
"We are tremendously thankful for this family's belief in the future of Murray State Athletics and the meaningful difference their generosity will make for our student-athletes," Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "The continued commitment from our supporters drives the momentum of the Leading The Pack campaign as we continue pursuing our $100 million goal and strengthening the championship culture and community that define Murray State."
Â
Over the last two years, Murray State has raised a school-record $43 million dollars in support of new facilities, initiatives and championship resources. That total was made possible by 15, seven-figure gifts, which also amounts to the most in department history.
Â
The $43 million is committed towards the department's bold, comprehensive $100 million fundraising campaign, Leading The Pack, which was created to further position itself for the future by investing in student-athlete success and wellness, revenue share and competitive resources and world-class facilities.
