Exhibition at Wichita State set for October 7

The Murray State men's basketball team will face off against Wichita State in an open exhibition on Wednesday, October 7 in Wichita, Kansas, the two teams announced today.

The Racers' first exhibition ahead of the 2026-27 season will tipoff at 6:30 p.m. inside Charles Koch Arena. All tickets are $20 and seating is general admission. Tickets are available for purchase online or by contacting the Wichita State Athletics Ticket Office. Proceeds will be split between two local community groups, the Wichita Children's Home and Cheese Johnson's UJUMP. Charles Koch Arena parking will be free and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Murray State is coming off of a 20-13 overall record last season with a 12-8 mark in Missouri Valley Conference play and a third-place finish in the league standings, the program's best MVC regular-season finish and most conference wins since joining The Valley. The Shockers and Racers have met only once previously in regular season competition, all the way back in 1953.
