Price Family Videoboard Announced as Centerpiece of CFSB Center Renovation

Murray State Athletics has introduced the Price Family Videoboard, a new state-of-the-art, center-hung display that will be installed inside the CFSB Center as part of the ongoing transformational renovation to the home of Racer Basketball. The new videoboard ranks as one of the top-10 largest basketball-specific boards in the nation.

Named in recognition of the Price Family and their unwavering support to Murray State Athletics and the Murray community, the Price Family Videoboard will become one of the signature features of the CFSB Center by significantly enhancing the game presentation, providing greater opportunities for fan engagement and creating additional revenue streams.

"The transformation of the CFSB Center represents an important investment in our University, our students and the experience we provide to the entire Murray State community," President Dr. Ron Patterson said. "The Price Family Videoboard will be a highly-visible centerpiece of that transformation, and we are grateful to the Price Family for their commitment to our University and for helping create an experience that students, alumni, fans and visitors will enjoy for generations."

The new centerhung videoboard will be 60 percent larger than the existing display and each of the four panels measures 18.5 feet tall by 25.5 feet wide. Featuring more than 10 million pixels, the system will provide enhanced clarity for live video, instant replays, statistics, graphics, sponsor integration and in-game entertainment.

"The Price Family Videoboard represents exactly what we envisioned when we began planning the transformation of the CFSB Center, and we are incredibly thankful to the Price Family for their belief in the vision of this project," Vice President and Director of Athletics Nico Yantko said. "This technology will completely change how we tell the story of Racer Basketball inside the arena and is another example of how we are creating spaces that bring people together for a best-in-class experience."

Four additional 6.5-foot by 10-foot underbelly displays will provide optimal viewing for student-athletes, coaches and fans seated in the lower rows and courtside areas. The centerhung system will also feature a winch system, allowing the display to be raised and lowered to accommodate daily operations and the variety of events hosted inside the CFSB Center.

"Our family loves Murray State University, and Murray State Basketball has been a part of our family's story for generations," Dr. Matt Price said. "We are grateful to be a piece of something that has created so many memories for us and are thankful for the opportunity to give back to Racer Athletics. We hope the Price Family Videoboard helps create unforgettable experiences for years to come."

Beyond the center-hung display, the renovation will also introduce new ribbon boards and LED tables throughout the CFSB Center, creating a more integrated digital environment and additional opportunities to enhance game presentation. Together, the new technology will provide greater flexibility to create unique content.

Combined with the premium seating and unique amenities being added throughout the CFSB Center, Murray State is creating an entirely new experience for Racer fans. The Price Family Videoboard joins a series of improvements currently underway as part of the ongoing renovation of the CFSB Center, including new premium offerings throughout the facility.
