It's a busy week on the Racer Report and at the top is a time of remembrance for former Murray State basketball assistant coach Jim Hatfield, who passed away at the age of 81. We'll have more on his five-season career with the Racers and head coach Tevester Anderson. Also an update on the basketball seasons as both the Racer men and women come down the stretch heading for March tournament time. MSU track & field heads to Chicago for the Missouri Valley Conference Indoor Championships and MSU Rifle is headed for their 11th NCAA Championship appearance under coach Alan Lollar.

The 2026 European exhibition test continues this weekend as the Racers left Barcelona after an opening win and arrive in Mykonos, Greece with the same mindset. Plus our first visit with Rashon Burno, MSU's new President of Basketball Operations.

The Murray State men's basketball team knocked off Barcelona Select in their first of four games in Europe in their summer 2026 tour of Spain, Greece and France. Dave Winder has the post-game report of the 95-64 win, including interviews with Head Coach Ryan Miller and players, Brigham Rogers, Brayden Shorter and Christian Jones. We also take a look at the coming soccer season for the Racers, and new honors for MSU football defensive players Dylan Rowsey and Conlee Crossno. And a big welcome to Derek Doolittle, who is set to join MSU Athletics Executive Team.
