2009 Preseason All-OVC Defensive Back
2008: Started all 12 games...second on the team with 103 tackles and six pass break-ups...tied his career best with 13 tackles against UT Martin and Tennessee State...had three more games with 10 tackles...double-digit tackles in each of last three games...returned an interception 35 yards to stall a late drive in the victory over TSU.
2007: Started the first five games of the season before a wrist injury sidelined him for the rest of the year...recorded 32 tackles and two interceptions...registered 13 stops against Illinois State...made five stops against Jacksonville State.
2006: Started all 11 games at safety...finished third on the team with 73 tackles...had six tackles-for-loss and 1.5 sacks...had nine tackles in his collegiate debut against Missouri...matched that total two weeks later against Indiana State...recovered a fumble against Tennessee Tech and returned it 93 yards for a touchdown...scored his second touchdown on a blocked punt against SEMO.
2005: Did not play during the 2005 season...enrolled at Murray State in January 2006.
HIGH SCHOOL: Helped Barron Collier High School to a 7-3 record as a senior in 2004...selected All-Collier County and totaled 118 tackles and three interceptions as a senior...helped BCHS to the district championship as a junior in 2003...also participated on the BCHS track team and set school records in the 100-meter, 200-meter and 4x100-meter relay.
PERSONAL: Full name is Taylor John Lanigan...born Oct. 11, 1986...son of Ken and Kim Lanigan...has one sister, Taylor Marie, and two brothers, Chris and Josh...majoring in advertising.
