Strong, rugged player who has turned in hilight reel hits several times in his career as a Racer...Made a move to tight end last season, but again injuries derailed him for much of the time..Had a serious knee injury.
2003: Enjoyed an injury free season and played in place of All-OVC tight end Jimmy St. Louis, moved from linebacker to tight end where he played the rest of the season...First career-start came at UT Martin...Caught one pass for 6 yards.
2002: Saw action in just one game before having shoulder surgery...Injured shoulder in summer camp and aggrevated it in season opener at Memphis...Had one tackle in limited action at Memphis.
2001: Saw action in all 10 games as a true freshman, playing primarily on special teams while backing up Travis Hampton and Zelbert Johnson...Recorded 6 tackles...Made five unassisted tackles.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Central High School in Memphis...Was a three-time All-Region 7 pick as a DE, LB, TE and punter...Named first-team all-state by the Associated Press as a senior, leading the state of Tennessee and setting a school record in tackles with 182 as a senior...Was a Bronze Medalist in the Wendy's High School Heisman and a Tom Lemming Pre-season All-American...Also competed in track and field, ranking No. 1 in Memphis in the shot put and discus.
