- Inducted into the Murray State Hall of Fame in 2023.
- Recruited and played for Coach Eddie Hunt.
- Was a starter from the moment he stepped foot on the course at Miller Memorial GC and became MSU's only four-time All-OVC selection for men's golf.
- Earned OVC Freshman of the Year honors in the spring of 2008.
- Ended his MSU career as the 2011 OVC Player of the Year.
- A big part of MSU's last OVC team championship in 2010 along with teammates Nick Newcomb, Patrick Newcomb, Chris Griffin and Jared Wolfe.
- In the 2010 championship, the Racers won the program's fourth OVC championship and first since 1991 and did it by an amazing 18-shot margin at GreyStone GC in Dickson, Tenn.
- MSU did it with three solid days in which they fired rounds of 286-295-284=865 to outdistance second place Morehead State and Jacksonville State.
- The Racers won the event with all five of their players putting together excellent rounds as the senior trio of Nick Newcomb, Jared Wolfe and Chris Griffin finished one-two-three.
- Cameron Carrico placed eighth after rounds of 70-79-70=219.
- In 2011, Carrico had the best single season of any player in MSU history with the lowest scoring average in program history (71.29) as it was the best in the OVC and fourth in NCAA DI.
- He was fourth in the nation with a 3.96 average on par four holes and had 24 rounds of par or better in 32 rounds.
- He posted two wins and had eight top-10 finishes.Â
- Carrico finished third at the OVC Championship as the event was reduced to only 36 holes because of bad weather.
- He made a statement in round one by posting a 6-under 66 at GreyStone.
- Carrico was selected to compete at the NCAA Regional in Zionsville, Ind., at Wolf Run Golf Club.
- His appearance in the NCAA Tournament brought to an end an excellent career at Murray State.
- He was the best finisher among individuals not playing on a team at the and placed 34th in the field of all 75 competitors with scores of 81-69-72=244.
- As of 2023, Carrico is the career average leader at Murray State with a stroke average of 72.68.
- He had 28 finishes in the top-10 with 18 in the top-5 and had three tournament wins in his career.
