Kim Koehler-Church -Â Volleyball/Track & Field 1987-1991
Â
One of the best in Murray State history, Koehler-Church was a top-performer and the first MSU player to reach 1000 career kills. Among the best of the best in the Racer history, she tied for first with 150 matches played, second with 528 sets played, second with 1,432 kills, first with 257 service aces and third with 1,994 digs. She is one of seven MSU players that recorded both 1,000 digs and 1,000 kills.

As a freshman, she was named MSU Most Valuable Defensive Player in 1987-1988. She went on to retain her title for the next two seasons. She was named to numerous All Tournament Teams during her career.
Koehler-Church was named All-OVC First Team three of her four seasons, was named OVC Tournament MVP and All-Tournament First Team in 1989,1990 and 1991, and was awarded the OVC Academic Medal of Honor in 1990-1991.

She also had a notable academic career and was named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll twice.

To add onto her impressive career as a Racer, Koehler was part of the 1988 MSU Homecoming Court, was a summer orientation counselor and graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in housing and interior design.

She is the second MSU Volleyball player to be inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame following Jill Doty-Misner in 2007.
