- Marcus Brown was named All-Ohio Valley Conference three times during his MSU career and twice was named the OVC Player of the Year.Â
- He is one of only nine former MSU players to earn All-OVC honors three times.Â
- He holds multiple school records, including most points scored in a single-game with 45 against Washington University (Mo.) in 1995.
- Brown is third all-time on the career points scored list at MSU with 2,236 and holds the MSU single-season scoring average with 26.4 points per game during the 1995-96 season.Â
- He ranks as the all-time steals leader at MSU with 232, including a single-season record of 76 in 1994-95.Â

- Brown didn't only torch the OVC competition; he was unstoppable against major programs as well. He recorded a 33-point night in 1995 against Purdue, poured in 32 points against Louisville and scored 26 points in the Racers' 1995 NCAA Tournament game against North Carolina.
- Brown, who played for the Racers from 1992-96, was inducted into the MSU Hall of Fame in February 2010 and became the ninth player to have his jersey retired when his no. 5 was lifted to the rafters at the CFSB Center.
- Brown was drafted by the Portland Trailblazers in 1996, but made his name with a stellar career in Europe.
- He played for 14 seasons for teams in France, Greece, Israel, Italy, Lithuanian and Russia.
- At his retirement, Brown was the all-time American scorer in the 24-team Euroleague since the league was started in 2000.
- Brown's 2,715 points in Europe goes with the 2,236 points he scored in a Murray State uniform, where he is the third leading scorer for the Racers.
- Combining his prep career at West Memphis High School, Murray State and in the professional ranks, Brown was inducted into the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2013.
