Tony Wretlund – Men’s Tennis, 1985, 1987-1989
He is one of only two Racers to play at number one singles his entire career and was twice named OVC Player of the Year. Wretlund was named to the OVC’s All-Time Tennis Team while still a junior. In 1988, he was ranked as high as eight in NCAA Region Three. He finished his career with a 112-52 singles record, which included a 50-3 record in conference singles play. Wretlund was also part of the MSU program that won every league title in the 1980’s.
He served as a tennis instructor at Elizabethtown Swim & Racquet Club in Elizabethtown, KY from 1990-1991. From 1991-1992 he was a marketing coordinator for Inter-Media AB in Vasteras, Sweden. Wretlund was in sales for Credit Bureau Systems, Inc. in Owensboro, KY from 1992-1996. Since then he has been in sales for Consolidated Personnel Services, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ.
