Walter “Bull” Wells – Football, 1925-1930 (Deceased)
The “Bull” played with reckless abandon-not only to win, but to destroy. His career began in 1925, and ended six years later, in 1930, after he had scored 196 points, second only to Harlan Brodie in Murray’s records. He could play any position, and as a place kicker, established a school career record by kicking 43 extra points. In 1928, he had his finest season, scoring 71 points. (Murray State Alumnus, November 1965)
