The Murray State women's soccer team will face Southeast Missouri in the 2015 OVC Soccer Championship on Sunday at 1 p.m.

The Racers advanced to the championship match after defeating Morehead State in dramatic fashion during the semifinal game on Friday. Harriet Withers scored the game-winning goal with 31 seconds remaining in the match to give Murray State the victory.

The Racers are 7-11-1 all-time against the Redhawks. In the last match between the two teams, the Racers snapped a five game losing streak against SEMO with a 4-1 victory. Taylor Richerson had two goals in the match. Taylor Stevens and Caroline Ashton each had a goal as well. Jenna Collingridge had the lone goal for the Redhawks. Alex Steigerwald made her first start of OVC play in goal and recorded three saves in the match.

SEMO came into the OVC tournament as the six seed. The Redhawks first upset Jacksonville State in dramatic fashion as they beat the Gamecocks in a shootout. Their next opponent would be Tennessee Tech. SEMO was victorious in that match as well beating the Golden Eagles 2-1. Natasha Minor and Jennifer Antonacci would score the goals for the Redhawks.

The winner will receive the title of OVC Tournament Champions and receive an automatic bid in the NCAA tournament.
