
Top Three Finishes for Both Men and Women at UE Invitational

The Murray State men's and women's cross country teams ran at the UE Invitational in Evansville, Indiana, Saturday morning, in the last race before the Ohio Valley Conference Championships.
The men placed second out of eight teams and finished ahead of OVC rival Austin Peay and host Evansville. Lipscomb won both the men's and women's races.
Senior Vince Turner led the men with a time of 26:03.08 and an 11th place finish. Junior Zach Balleau was not far behind as he finished 12th with a time of 26:07.7. Sophomores Caleb Kawasaki and Meyer Makemson were the third and fourth finishers for the Racers, finishing 23rd and 30th overall, respectively, while junior Zan McClelland was the team's fifth runner as he finished 38th overall.
The women finished third out of eight teams and ahead of OVC rival Austin Peay. Senior Rebekah Priddy was the top finisher for the Racers once again as she finished sixth overall in a field of 73 runners. She crossed the finish line at 18:27.1, her best time of the season.
Fellow senior Ida Mutai finished 12th overall with a season-best time of 19:05.2 and freshman Emma Creviston was 14th with a time of 19:18.1. Fellow first-year runners Dani Wright and Morgan Vosler finished 19th and 25th, respectively. Wright set a new career-best with a time of 19:29.6.
The Racers will now prepare for the OVC Championship meet, which will take place at Southeast Missouri, October 27th.
