This Weekend
The Murray State volleyball team brings its seven-match winning streak back to Racer Arena to take on Southeast Missouri and UT Martin. The Racers will battle the Redhawks, Friday at 7 p.m., before hitting the court with the Skyhawks, Saturday at 11 a.m. as part of Homecoming Weekend
Previous Match
The Murray State volleyball team returned home looking to extend their winning streak against Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State. After sweeping TTU, Friday night, the Racers were tested by JSU, but prevailed in five sets. MSU had one of their best offensive weekends of the season as they hit .309 in the two matches. On defense, the Racers had a season-high 14 blocks.
OVC Honors
Dacia Brown tied a career-high in kills with 20 against just one error against Jacksonville State en route to being named OVC Offensive Player of the Week. Ashley McBee also earned OVC accolades after collecting 87 assists, including a career-high 53 against JSU.
Senior Day
Prior to Friday's match against SEMO, the Racers will honor their two seniors, Dacia Brown and Liza Gober.
Home Sweet Home
After winning their first five home matches of 2018, the Racers are now 45-2 at Racer Arena since 2014.
Conference Leaders
Murray State currently has the top two kills leaders in the OVC. Junior Rachel Giustino averages 4.06 kills per set, the only player in the OVC to be above four, while senior Dacia Brown is second in the conference, averaging 3.83.
Giustino Joins 1,000-Kill Club
With 28 kills over the weekend, junior Rachel Giustino surpassed 1,000 kills for her career, becoming just the 14th Racer in program history.

Scouting Southeast Missouri
The Redhawks are coming off a split last weekend, defeating Belmont, Friday, before falling to Tennessee State, Saturday. Earlier in the season, SEMO took down Murray State in five sets in Cape Girardeau. In that match, Laney Malloy had 18 kills and 17 digs while Claire Ochs dished out 55 assists. Malloy currently leads the Redhawks with 3.22 kills per set.
Scouting UT Martin
UT Martin is coming into this match winners of four straight after knocking off Middle Tennessee in five sets, Wednesday, in non-conference action. Jamie Rys led the Skyhawks with 14 kills and Kenzie Hinshaw had 26 assists. Brooke Gyori racked up 22 digs. Megan Fair led UT Martin to a five-set OVC opening win over the Racers with a double-double on September 21. Gyori is currently averaging 4.97 digs per set which puts her in the top 50 in the country.
