Rifle to Host Ole Miss at Pat Spurgin Rifle Range

Murray State will host the University of Mississippi for a non-conference match.
The Murray State Racers will host the Ole Miss Rebels at the Pat Spurgin Rifle Range on Sunday, October 13 at 9 a.m. CT.Â
ÂThe Racers put together a strong performance in their season opener last weekend, defeating UT Martin with an aggregate score of 4721. The Navy & Gold recorded scores of 2346 in smallbore and 2375 in air rifle on their way to a win over the Skyhawks. Â
ÂThe Racers owned each of the top ten individual performances and had the top shooter in both smallbore and air rifle. Â
ÂJohn Blanton was the top shooter in smallbore, putting up a score of 592. Carlotta Salafia came in second, scoring 587. Salafia led the way in air rifle with a score of 597 and Caroline Martin came in second scoring 596. Â
ÂThe Rebels will open their season against Akron on Saturday, October 12, in Murray, Ky., before facing the Racers. Â
