Murray State softball wins 6-3 over SEMO in a midweek conference matchup.

In A Nutshell
Murray State softball wins 6-3 over Southeast Missouri State in their midweek non-conference matchup, Tuesday.

The Racers improved to a 21-26 overall record as they head to the final two weeks of regular season.

How it Went
The Racers and the Redhawks saw three scoreless innings before the visitors opened the scoring with a three-run home run through right center. The visitors were able to hold the lead through the inning.

The Racers responded at the bottom of the fifth inning. Erin Lackey broke the silence with an RBI single through middle to score Summer Ray from second base. Bailey Broemmer followed it up with her third home run of the season two score two more runs and tie the game.

Bre Haislip kept the Redhaws quiet through the top sixth inning before the Racers score three more runs in the bottom of the inning. Taylor Jackson walked on a 3-0 count before tagging out for pinch runner Kendal Hargrove followed by a single to right center by Kayleigh White.

Ray brought Hargrove and White home with a two RBI double to take the lead. Lackey then forced a fielder's choice that resulted in an obstructed scored run by Ray.

Haislip and Jackson sealed the game with the pitcher posting a strikeout and a groundout while the catcher catching a runner caught stealing.

In the Circle
Haislip earned her second win of the season improving her record to 2-6. She posted two strikeouts while only allowing one hit through 12 batters faced.

Tayjack Catches them Stealing
Jackson adds one more to her caught-stealing-by program career record as she put out her 44^th runner on a stealing base attempt and her 16^th of the season.

What's next?
Murray State will travel to Valparaiso for their final road Missouri Valley Conference series of the season, Friday through Sunday.
