Murray State Rifle will play host to the eighth-ranked Georgia Southern Eagles at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, January 11 in Murray, Ky.Â
ÂThe match will be the first since a November 23 showdown in Jacksonville, Alabama with Jacksonville State that featured standout performances from several Racers.  Â
ÂFreshman Carlotta Salafia set a new career high with a 589 in smallbore and equaled her career-best aggregate of 1186 while taking the top individual spot.  Â
ÂJunior Paola Paravati took second place overall and recorded a new career-high aggregate of 1183 with scores of 587 in smallbore and 596 in air rifle, good for second in that category and a career-high.  Â
ÂScott Patterson and John Blanton rounded out the top five while Allison Henry and Caroline Martin appeared in the top ten.Â
ÂGeorgia Southern suffered a close loss in their most recent match, falling 4738-4715 to second-ranked Alaska Fairbanks on November 22. Emma Walrath was the top performer for the Eagles, firing a first place score of 598 in air rifle and an aggregate of 1183. Â
