The Racers produced a fourth-place showing at English Turn G&CC in New Orleans, a former PGA Tour stop

The Murray State Racers men's golf team posted a fourth-place showing in the first event of the spring season Tuesday at the Gulf Coast Collegiate at English Turn Golf & Country Club in New Orleans, Louisiana.

The Racers had team scores of 301-285-292=878 and were five shots from third place Western Carolina at 873.

Lennon Albans and Kamaren Cunningham were the top MSU finishers as they shared 11^th place at 217 (1-over par) in the field of 96 competitors.

Next up for the Racers is the Peoples Golf Championship (March 13-15) in St. Simons Island, Georgia.

The Racers turned in some good play at one of the best courses in the nation. A Jack Nicklaus design, English Turn hosted a PGA Tour event from 1989-04.
