Coach Jorge Caetano and the Racers head into 2025-26 with tons of momentum
The 2025 recruiting class for Murray State women's tennis head coach Jorge Caetano is ranked No. 14 for mid-major teams in its incoming class this fall, according to Tennis Recruiting Network announced from its home office in Marietta, Georgia.
"We're incredibly proud to have our 2025 recruiting class ranked 14th among all mid-majors by the Tennis Recruiting Network," Coach Caetano said. "This recognition reflects the caliber of student-athletes we're bringing to Murray State, and we're thrilled to welcome Arden Dethridge and Sofia Issakova to the Racer Tennis family. Coming off back-to-back MVC championships, we're focused on building on that success, and we believe this recruiting class will help us continue to raise the standard for our program."
The last time the Racers were featured in the TRN rankings for the 2017-18 recruiting class that was ranked No. 23.
The newcomers that produced another nationally ranked class arrive at the MSU campus this fall and include Sofia Issakova (Almaty, Kazakhstan) and Arden Dethridge (Bowling Green, Ky.).

The Murray State women's tennis program has won back-to-back regular season championships in the Missouri Valley Conference championships and along the way won 19-straight MVC matches. In 2024, the Racers won the MVC Tournament and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. Varya Alexeyeva, Paola Campigotto, Valeria Chaikovskaia, Yuna Kadowaki, Yu Kikawa and Bruna Melato earned All-MVC honors in 2025.
