Murray State opens its road slate Thursday at Lipscomb, marking the fifth meeting between the two schools. The Racers hold a 4-0 advantage in the all-time series, including a 2-1 road win in the last matchup on Oct. 31, 2008, in Nashville.
The Racers enter the week 1-1-0 after Head Coach Matt Lodge notched his 61st career victory, the most in program history. Murray State aims to bounce back following a gritty effort against Lindenwood.
Murray State's back line, led by MVC Defensive Player of the Week Megan Wilson, has held opponents scoreless in the first half of both non-conference matches.
The Bisons enter 2025 after a standout 2024 season that saw them finish 7-1-1 in Atlantic Sun play, claim the ASUN Tournament championship, and advance to the NCAA Tournament.
The Bison have been dominant under Head Coach Kevin O'Brien, a four-time ASUN Head Coach of the Year, claiming four of the last seven ASUN Tournament titles.
The Racers will look to extend their unbeaten streak in the series and set the tone for their 2025 road campaign.
