MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State women's soccer collected three Missouri Valley Conference honors, with junior forward Breece Bass named to the All-MVC First Team, freshman Kate Hardy selected to the All-Freshman Team and the Racers earning the conference's Fair Play Award.
Bass led Murray State in every attacking category in 2026, finishing with six goals, 15 points, 49 shots and 22 shots on goal across 18 starts. Her 49 shots ranked fourth in the Missouri Valley and her .122 shot percentage was a career best. Bass scored three game-winning goals, all of them in conference play, and had a hand in nine of Murray State's 19 goals.
She was at her best in the Missouri Valley schedule, where she produced four goals and nine points in eight matches. Bass closes the regular season with 13 goals, 35 points and six game-winners in 55 career matches, the most of any current Racer in all three categories.
Hardy, a freshman from Ballwin, Missouri, appeared in 14 matches and made 10 starts in her first season at Murray State, logging 879 minutes for a back line that recorded five shutouts and conceded five goals across a seven-match unbeaten run to close the regular season.
Murray State's Fair Play Award reflects the cleanest season in the conference. The Racers drew four yellow cards in 18 matches, the fewest in the Missouri Valley by four, and committed 148 fouls, fewer than any other team that played a full 18-match schedule. Murray State was also the only team in the league that did not attempt a penalty kick all season.
Murray State finished 4-8-6 overall and 3-2-4 in the Missouri Valley, earning the No. 5 seed in the Missouri Valley Championship.
