Murray State women's basketball takes on Bradley in a matchup of two of the Valley's best
PEORIA, Ill. — The Missouri Valley Conference's top offense meets its stingiest defense tonight as first-place Murray State (22-3, 13-1 MVC) visits Bradley (17-8, 11-4) at Renaissance Coliseum.
The Racers enter on a six-game winning streak, led by the conference's top two scorers, Halli Poock (21.7 ppg) and Sharneece Currie-Jelks (18.6 ppg). Murray State's high-octane attack, ranking ninth nationally at 84.9 points per game, will be tested by a Braves squad that is near the top of the MVC in scoring defense, allowing just 64.2 points per contest.
Bradley, winners of four straight, looks to protect a 11-game home undefeated streak. The Braves rely on the sharp-shooting of Kaylen Nelson, who leads the league in 3-point percentage (.405).
The matchup is a rematch of a Jan. 4 double-overtime thriller that Murray State won 93-82. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
