MURRAY, Ky. - Murray State women's soccer wraps up its nonconference schedule Sunday afternoon at Lindenwood. The Racers and Lions kick off at 1 p.m. CT from St. Charles, Mo., streaming available on ESPN+.
Lindenwood has taken each of the last two meetings by a 1-0 score, winning in St. Charles on Aug. 31, 2023 and again at Cutchin Field on Aug. 17, 2025. Murray State won the first meeting between the programs 3-1 at home on Sept. 11, 2022 and trails the all-time series 2-1. Lindenwood is the only opponent on the 2026 schedule with an all-time winning record against the Racers.
Murray State arrives off a 2-1 loss at Tennessee Tech on Thursday in a match interrupted by a lightning delay. The Racers outshot the Golden Eagles 12-4 and held an 8-2 advantage in corner kicks, and each of the first two goals came off an own goal before Tennessee Tech scored the winner in the 83rd minute. Murray State has now outshot its opponent in back-to-back matches after doing so once in its first six.
- Senior goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio, of Washington, Ind., tied Jenna Villacres for third in program history with her 56th career match in goal on Thursday. She ranks fourth all time with 225 career saves and third with 17 career shutouts, and she sits two starts and 139 minutes from third in those categories.
- Revolorio was named MVC Goalkeeper of the Week on Sept. 8 after back-to-back shutouts against Marshall and Austin Peay, a run that reached 189 scoreless minutes.
- Junior forward Breece Bass has recorded at least one shot in all eight matches, the only Racer to do so, and leads Murray State with 17 shots and seven on goal. She sits two goals shy of 10 for her career.
- Five of Murray State's seven goals in 2026 have been the first of a Racer's collegiate career. Gabby Ramdeen, Kai LaBarrie and Erin O'Shea all found their first in the Sept. 6 win over Austin Peay.
- Abbey MacDonald and Revolorio have played every minute of the season, 720 apiece.
- The Racers have earned eight or more corner kicks in consecutive matches for the first time this year, 10 against Austin Peay and eight at Tennessee Tech.
- Sunday closes a nine-match nonconference schedule. Murray State opens MVC play Sept. 20 against Illinois State at Cutchin Field.
Scouting the Lions
- Lindenwood enters at 2-4-1 and has not played since a 1-0 loss at Southern Illinois on Sept. 3, a 10-day break before Sunday.
- The Lions have already faced three MVC opponents this season, going 1-2 with a 3-1 win at Evansville and 1-0 losses to Illinois State and Southern Illinois.
- Lindenwood has scored four goals in seven matches, an average of 0.57 per match, and has been held off the scoreboard five times.
- Mackenzie Compton accounts for three of the four Lindenwood goals and leads the team with 14 shots and seven points. Maddy Vasiloff has the other.
- Goalkeeper Caroline Ritter has played every minute in goal, logging 630 minutes with 24 saves, a 1.29 goals-against average and two shutouts.
