- Played two seasons at the University of Iowa (2020-21)
- Appeared in three games in the circle for the Hawkeyes
- Threw two innings, striking out one and gave up four hits
- Played two season at the University of Northern Iowa (2018-19)
- Appeared in 51 games on the mound, making 29 starts for the Panthers
- Went 6-9 in the circle, pitched 72 full innings with 54 strikeouts
- Won five games as a freshman, pitched a 3.36 era in 91.2 innings and struck out 56 opposing batters
- Graduated from Perry HS
- Finished pitching career with 1,234 strikeouts, struck out 365 batters and batted .385 as a senior
- Two-time first-team all-conference and All-District
- First-Team All-State as a senior
- Set the state record for strikeouts in a game with 16 and strikeouts in a tournament with 32 as a junior
- Second-Team All-Conference in 2016
- Academic All-Conference from 2015 to 2017
- Also participated in basketball and track.
