Jaron Robinson delivered a game-winning RBI single up the middle to score Jack Hranec in the top of the 11^th inning as the Racers rallied Saturday for a 7-4 victory over UT Martin on the road to even the series at 1-1.

MSU scored three runs in the 11^th to secure the victory as Adam Bauer and Caleb Hicks each delivered RBI hits to lengthen the Racer lead. The Racers (7-9, 1-1 OVC) out-hit UTM (5-10, 1-1 OVC) 12-9 in the victory but left 19 runners left on base.

The Racers were able to force extra innings thanks to a one-out, hit-by-pitch from Hranec in the top of the ninth that brought in Tyler Lawrence to tie the game at 4-4. UT Martin rallied from its own deficit to take that 4-3 lead with a three-run seventh inning.

Lawrence got MSU on the board first with an RBI double into the gap in the top of the third that brought around Cody Gilbert. The Racers tallied two more runs in the fourth to take a 3-0 lead. The first run came on an RBI single to right from Ramsey Scott, followed by a bases-loaded walk from Hicks to score Scott later in the inning.

The Skyhawks scored a run back in the sixth inning before busting loose in the seventh to take their first lead of the game.

Bauer, Brandon Gutzler, Lawrence, Robinson and Scott all had two-hit days for the Racers in the victory with Hicks leading the way with the two ribbies. MSU was also able to draw 13 walks in its first extra innings game of the season.

Brandon Hicks gets the win in the contest after he pitched 4.2 innings of relief. Hicks allowed one run on three hits and recorded a career-high six strikeouts to move his record to 1-2 on the year. Start John Lollar got stuck with the no-decision after pitching 6.1 innings and allowing two earned runs on six Skyhawks hits.

The rubber match in the series between MSU and the Skyhawks is Sunday. First pitch is set for 1 p.m. in Martin.
