Racers Set For Fall UCA Invitational

Murray State women's tennis is set to travel to Conway, Arkansas for the University of Central Arkansas' Fall Invitational Tournament on Friday, September 20 and Saturday, September 21 at the Conway Tennis Center.

"We had a short week of practice, but we made some adjustments in our doubles and we want to see how its going to pan out," head coach Jorge Caetano said.

Competing in the two-day event along with UCA and Murray State are Missouri State, Sam Houston and Kansas City.

The tournament's format features Friday's matches beginning at 9:30 a.m. CT with all teams playing one round of doubles followed by two rounds of singles. Saturday's matches also begin at 9:30 a.m. CT, yet feature two rounds of doubles and just one round of singles.

Matchups will be set prior to the start of play and be based off skill level.

"Our singles looked good last week, but we need to improve our execution and that only comes with more match play," Caetano added. "We are looking forward to continuing to get better this weekend."
