MURRAY, Ky. -Â Murray State Soccer returns to the road in search of its first win under first-year head coach Ben Madsen as the Racers face No. 7 Notre Dame Sunday in South Bend, Ind.
The Racers (0-2-0) enter Sunday's contest after dropping a pair of matches to SEC opponents Ole Miss and Missouri to open the 2026 non-conference slate.
Murray State's lone goal of the season came off the boot of freshman midfielder Jo Dalessandro, whose first career strike drew the Racers level in the home opener and sent the two sides into halftime tied at 1. The Tigers pulled away in the second half for a 3-1 final at Cutchin Field.
Despite four goals allowed through two matches, senior goalkeeper Griselda Revolorio has made her presence known between the posts, recording nine saves while surpassing the 200-save mark for her career.
Notre Dame (0-0-3) joins the Racers in search of a first win in 2026 after opening the season with three consecutive draws, including matches against Big Ten opponents Penn State and Nebraska. The Fighting Irish entered the year at No. 2 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll before slipping to No. 7 in the latest edition of the rankings.
The Irish attack is led by junior Izzy Engle, the reigning ACC Offensive Player of the Year and a 2025 United Soccer Coaches First-Team All-American.
Sunday's match kicks off at noon Central and will be broadcast on ACCNX.
