Racers Split Against Lipscomb and Arkansas State

The Murray State women's tennis team split the weekend with a loss against Lipscomb on Saturday, March 3 and a win against Arkansas State on Sunday, March 4.
With the results, Murray State sits at 4-4 overall.
Lipscomb
Murray State fell 4-2 to the Bisons of Lipscomb University on Saturday, March 3.
The Bisons won doubles but were unable to sweep all three matches, with Sara Bjork and Jeanne Masson winning 6-3.
Bjork was also able to secure a win in singles play as well against the Bisons, as she won in two sets 6-2 and 6-3.
Amina Hadzic was the other Racer to win in singles play, winning in two sets 6-3 and 6-4.
Arkansas State
In a back and forth match against the Red Wolves of Arkansas State, Murray State came away with a 4-3 win.
The Racers had to win four of six singles matches to secure the win, as Arkansas State won doubles 2-0.
In singles play, Claire Chang and Stasya Sharapova both won in two sets, with Chang winning 6-3 and 6-4 and Sharapova winning 6-4 and 7-6.
Coming into the last two matches, Arkansas held a one-point advantage of 2-3. Hadzic tied the game up at three in three sets, as she won the first set 6-3, dropped the second 6-0 and won the third 6-3.
Clinching the win for the Racers was Sara Loncarevic in another three-set match. Loncarevic lost the first set 6-7 before winning the next two 6-2 and 6-1.
Murray State takes a trip to Birmingham, Ala., to face Alabama-Birmingham and Samford next on Friday, March 9 and Saturday, March 10.
With the results, Murray State sits at 4-4 overall.
